Review: Kiss of Fire by Rebecca Ethington

Joclyn Despain has been marred by a brand on her skin. She doesn't know why the mark appeared on her neck, but she doesn't want anyone to see it, including her best friend Ryland, who knows everything else about her. The scar is the reason she hides herself behind baggy clothes, and won't let the idea of kissing Ryland enter her mind, no matter how much she wants to.
The scar is the reason she is being hunted.
If only she knew that she was.
If only she had known that the cursed stone her estranged father sent for her 16th birthday would trigger a change in her. Now, she is being stalked by a tall blonde man, and is miraculously throwing her high school bully ten feet in the air.
Joclyn attempts to find some answers and the courage to follow her heart. When Ryland finds her scar; only he knows what it means, and who will kill her because of it.

New Cover vs Old Cover At first, I favorited the old cover but once I read the summary and realized it's about a modern-day girl traveling back in time I feel that the new cover fits. (The old cover looks like she's maybe in a play or something?)

Amber Sand is not a witch. The Sand family Wicca gene somehow leapfrogged over her. But she did get one highly specific magical talent: she can see true love. As a matchmaker, Amber's pretty far down the sorcery food chain (even birthday party magicians rank higher), but after five seconds of eye contact, she can envision anyone's soul mate.

Amber works at her mother's magic shop--Windy City Magic--in downtown Chicago, and she's confident she's seen every kind of happy ending there is: except for one--her own. (The Fates are tricky jerks that way.) So when Charlie Blitzman, the mayor's son and most-desired boy in school, comes to her for help finding his father's missing girlfriend,…

ARC Review: The Hands of Time (Elementals #5) by Michelle Madow - Such a bittersweet ending! {Spoiler Free}🌟💗

Time is running out. War will be waged. Sacrifices will be made.

Months ago, Nicole Cassidy’s life was turned upside-down when she discovered that she was a witch descended from the Greek gods. Now the Elementals must stop Typhon—the most dangerous monster in the world—from rising, and seal the portal to the dangerous prison world of Kerberos. But they won’t be able to do that without facing their hardest decision yet… a sacrifice so great that it may be one they’re not willing to make.

November/December TBR - Romance, an ending to a magical series & more angels! 👼

Last month my reading goals were pretty ambitious with six books. I ended up reading two on my list (Stone Cold Touch and Every Last Breath) and rereading Fallen by Lauren Kate in order to prepare myself for the rest of the series. I'll be adding what I didn't get to last month in addition to two more books for the month of November/December. (These months are super busy for me so I'm combining them.)
Here they are:

Don't forget to let me know what you are planning on reading for the month or leave me your links below!

My Thoughts...
Reading this book the second time around I liked it even more so than the first. Luce has always known she’s different but not until she starts at Sword & Cross does she discover who she truly is. I feel like the author did a fantastic job with the plot, pacing and answering those mysterious questions while still leaving some of that mystery of Luce’s past for the next book Torment.

While at Sword & Cross Luce meet…
